About
Rainlight Society
Instrumental music for rainy nights, quiet cafés, and slow hours — from Tokyo.

Rainlight Society makes lo-fi, chill jazz and downtempo instrumentals for the hours when you want the room to settle: late-night work, a slow morning, a long read, a task you would rather not be pulled away from.
Tokyo is not a quiet city. Even so, you can find a small stillness inside the noise.
The music is made here — on trains, in cafés, at a desk by a window — and it is shaped by the city rather than by a picture of it. No landmarks, no postcards. Just the light, the glass, the rain on the pavement, and the strange privacy of being alone in a crowd.
Two records so far. 2AM in the Rain is the night one. 10AM by the Window is the morning one. They are meant to be listened to end to end, or forgotten about entirely while you do something else — both are fine.
