Privacy
Rainlight Society is a small instrumental music project. This site exists to share the music, and it collects as little as it can.
What this site collects
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. Google sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address. We look at this only as aggregate numbers, never as individual people.
Embedded video. The Music page embeds full-album videos from YouTube. When such a page loads, YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address under Google’s own privacy policy. Nothing plays until you press play.
Comments. If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and IP address you submit along with your comment, so that it can be displayed and moderated.
Server logs. The hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and maintenance.
What this site does not do
- No newsletter, no accounts, no shop, no payment details.
- Nothing collected here is sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
- No tracking of you beyond what is described above.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out add-on that stops Analytics entirely. This site works perfectly well without cookies.
You may also ask what information is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below.

Links on this site lead to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Instagram and Facebook. Once you follow one, you are on their service and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
